Lambasked the Minister of Supply whether he is now in a position to make a statement as to the action which has been taken in respect of the recommendation for a reorganisation of the Home Flax Production Department of the Ministry of Supply contained in the Report of the Select Committee on National Expenditure on home-grown flax?
§ Mr. PeatA reply to their Report has now been sent to the Select Committee by my right hon. Friend. This reply will no doubt be reported to the House shortly. In the meantime my right hon. Friend agrees that a formal appointment should be made to the post of Director of Home Grown Flax Production and proposes to take action accordingly.
