§ Mr. Silkinasked the President of the Board of Education whether the number of 1,445 teachers in the employ of the London County Council includes those called up for service with the Forces of the Crown and those seconded or directed to other Government work of national importance, or teachers who, while no longer engaged in the particular kind of teaching which they did before the war, are nevertheless still engaged in work of a teaching or instructional nature; and the number, excluding those in the foregoing categories, who are engaged wholly in work entirely divorced from teaching?
