HC Deb 24 June 1943 vol 390 c1329W
Mr. Salt

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he will consider the issue of handkerchiefs to men of His Majesty's Forces or, failing this, will he advise the granting of coupons to enable them to be purchased?

Mr. A. Henderson

A soldier who presents a note signed by his commanding officer is at present able to buy handkerchiefs from retailers without coupons.
