§ Colonel StanleyWith a view to safeguarding the interests of Nigerian labourers, the Governor of Nigeria, after prolonged negotiations, has concluded an agreement with the Governor-General of the Spanish territories of the Gulf of Guinea to regulate the recruitment of African labourers in Nigeria and their working conditions in those Spanish possessions. The Governor has already been authorised to publish the text of the agreement in the Nigerian Government Gazette. Copies of the agreement have not yet been received here. But I will send a copy to my hon. Friend as soon as one is available.
