§ Mr. EdeI understand from my right hon. Friend the Minister of Home Security that it is now permissible for school bells, other than hand bells, to be rung to summon children to school, provided that the bell would not be liable to be mistaken for a signal for any other purpose. In any case of doubt the chief constable should first be consulted by the school authorities.
