§ Mr. BevinAt 12th April, 1943 (the latest date for which figures are at present available), there were 76,769 persons, aged 14 and over, registered at Employment Exchanges in Great Britain as wholly unemployed (excluding 21,669 persons classified by interviewing panels as unsuitable for ordinary employment), 1,312 registered as temporarily stopped, and 2,010 registered as unemployed casual workers. As compared with 18th January, the numbers wholly unemployed showed a decrease of 16,939, those temporarily stopped a decrease of 1,802, and unemployed casual workers a decrease of 185.
