HC Deb 21 July 1943 vol 391 c907W
Mr. Mothers

asked the Minister of Information whether he is aware that the broadcast by the British Broadcasting Corporation of a Scottish half-hour for the benefit of the many Scots in the Eighth Army is rendered almost worthless by being sent out on a wave-length which is extremely difficult to receive; and whether he will cause better arrangements to be made for this feature?

Mr. Bracken

I am informed by the B.B.C. that this broadcast is transmitted on three wavelengths and that transmissions are specially directed in order to provide the best possible reception in the Mediterranean area. I am not aware of any such difficulties of reception as the hon. Member alludes to.
