§ Colonel Carverasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether he will consider restoring the cut in the sugar ration to bee keepers from 5 lbs. to 10 lbs., in view of the difficulty of keeping bees on the smaller ration and the impossibility of doing so in the colder parts of the country?
§ Mr. MabaneFor 1943–4 bee keepers will be able to obtain 10 lbs. of sugar per colony of bees for autumn feeding and 5 lbs. per colony for Spring feeding. The latter allowance will be reviewed in the 207W early Spring in the light of seasonal conditions. My Noble Friend took technical advice before deciding on these arrangements and sees no reason to modify them.
