§ Mr. Naylorasked the Home Secretary whether he is aware that men invalided out from the Services, when applying for employment in civil life, are being told that they must undertake fire-watching duties as a condition of engagement, thereby having their opportunities of employment unjustly restricted; and whether a general exemption from fire-watching duties can be granted in all such cases?
§ Mr. H. MorrisonThe Order provides for the exemption of any man who can show that he is medically unfit to perform fire prevention duties, and I see no reason for singling out a particular class for special treatment.
