§ Colonel StanleyInformation is not at present available as to the amount spent by the Colonial Office on publications during the current financial year. Moreover, any figure which could be stated would not give even an approximate indication of the efforts made to dispel the public ignorance on Colonial affairs. In this connection I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply which I gave to the hon. and gallant Member for the Isle of Wight (Captain P. Macdonald) on 20th January.
