HC Deb 21 January 1943 vol 386 c313W
Dr. Little

asked the Minister of Production whether, as workers are available for performing much more war work, he will assign sufficient of this work to Northern Ireland in order to give employment to the large number of its unemployed who are eagerly awaiting such work and are ready to do their full share for victory?

Mr. Lyttelton

As my hon. Friend was informed on 2nd December, I am in constant touch with the Minister of Commerce and Production in Northern Ireland, in order to make fuller use of the labour and facilities available there. Further demands on the labour available are likely to be made by certain developments which will shortly be building up their labour force.
