HC Deb 25 February 1943 vol 387 c320W
Sir R. Gower

asked the Prime Minister whether any assistance is being given to the residents of the Scilly Islands in view of the prohibition of the conveying of flowers; and whether the steamer plying between the islands and the mainland is also forbidden to carry flowers?

Mr. Attlee

As regards the first part of the Question I would refer my hon. Friend to the answer given to my hon. and gallant Friend the Member for Penryn and Falmouth (Major Petherick), on 28th January last, of which I am sending him a copy. The answer to the last part of the Question is in the negative.
