HC Deb 25 February 1943 vol 387 c318W
Mr. Craven-Ellis

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether the associations representative of our basic industries, and other industries responsible for the employment of many thousands of workpeople, have been asked to furnish the Government with their own suggestions for post-war organisation of their industries on a basis of providing full employment, subject to the Government undertaking to give private enterprise every opportunity to expand and benefit from its enterprise?

Captain Waterhouse

If my hon. Friend will refer to the statement on reconstruction that my right hon. Friend made to the House on 3rd February, he will see the purpose and nature of the approach being made to industries.
