HC Deb 24 February 1943 vol 387 cc175-6W
Mr. Liddall

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of War Transport whether he will consider withdrawing the order which prohibits the conveyance of flowers by train, having regard to the fact that the order, instead of diminishing traffic, has had the effect of increasing it?.

Mr. Noel-Baker

No, Sir. The order prohibiting the carriage of flowers by rail has saved a great deal of transport, and I should not feel justified in accepting my hon. Friend's suggestion.
