Mr. W. Joseph Stewartasked the President of the Board of Trade the extent of the demand for utility furniture and whether the supply is sufficient to meet the immediate needs of the people requiring it?
§ Mr. DaltonAs regards the first part of the Question I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply which I gave on 16th February to my hon. and gallant Friend, the Member for Tonbridge (Sir A. Baillie). As regards the second part, substantial quantities of utility furniture are now being made and increasing supplies are becoming available. I hope that all who receive permits will be able to obtain their furniture without undue delay.
