HC Deb 18 February 1943 vol 386 c1959W
Colonel Carver

asked the President of the Board of Education whether he is now in a position to advise the North Riding of Yorkshire local education authority concerning the repair of damage in an air raid to a school, of which he has been informed; and whether, in view of the difficult circumstances there, he can take any action to assist the authority?

Mr. Butler

I am in communication with by Noble Friend the Minister of Works on this case, the difficulties of which are due to the priority of the operational requirements of the Fighting Services. I hope that I shall shortly be in a position to advise the local education authority in the matter.
