§ Mr. DaltonUp to 29th January last, some 7,000 buying permits representing 219,000 units of furniture, had been issued. But, as the utility furniture scheme only came into operation on 1st January, it is too early to draw any reliable conclusions from these figures as to the extent of the demand.
