HC Deb 16 February 1943 vol 386 cc1601-2W
Mr. R. Morgan

asked the Minister of Pensions whether he is a member of the Ministerial Committee on Reconstruction Problems; and whether plans for the return to London of the established staff of his Ministry to enable re-evacuation to be completed by the close of hostilities are being formulated apart from security considerations?

Sir W. Womersley

The answer to the first part of the Question is in the negative. As regards the second part, as things are at present, I regret that I can hold out no hope of it being found practicable to arrange for the return to London of the evacuated staff of my Department by the close of hostilities.
