asked the Chancellor of of the Exchequer whether he will extend the period of leave from overseas for which a member of the Forces can obtain a permit to use his laid-up motor-car without an ordinary licence, in order that this facility may be available for repatriated prisoners of war?

Yes, Sir. Hitherto this arrangement has been available only for those whose leave is granted for not more than 21 days. Instructions have now been given that this period shall be extended to 28 days, so that the leave granted to repatriated prisoners of war may be brought within the scope of this arrangement.
