Mr. Pritt

asked the Home Secretary how many workers employed in foundries were granted disablement or death certificates by the Silicosis Medical Board in 1942 and how many were in receipt of compensation during that year, respectively; and if he will give similar figures

CERTIFICATES granted by the Silicosis Medical Board under the Various Industries (Silicosis) Scheme, 1931, in respect of workmen employed in processes in Foundries and Metal Works covered by the Scheme.
Year. Dressing and fettling of steel castings. Sandblasting of metal or articles of metal.*
