HC Deb 09 December 1943 vol 395 c1153W
Mr. Perkins

asked the Minister of Agriculture what steps have been taken to destroy the pests attacking Minchinhampton Common, Gloucestershire?

Mr. Hudson

The trouble at Minchinhampton Common is due to a severe attack by chafer beetles, for which measures of a palliative character only can be recommended. The provincial advisory entomologist is giving attention to the matter.
