HC Deb 09 December 1943 vol 395 c1144W
Colonel Medlicott

asked the Minister of Labour whether he is aware of the shortage of isolation hospital accommodation in Norfolk, due mainly to lack of trained staff, and that in the main isolation hospital there are only two trained nurses to 120 beds; and will he do all in his power to help to remedy this situation?

Mr. Bevin

I am aware of the shortage to which my hon. Friend refers and my Department is making every effort to supply additional staff. There are, however, circumstances which render the staffing of these hospitals a matter of difficulty.
