§ Sir J. AndersonI am advised that the provision to which my hon. Friend refers is not applicable to the entertainments which he has in mind, and I have of course no power to authorise exemptions other than those enacted by Parliament. I would, however, remind my hon. Friend that other statutory provisions exist under which entertainments may qualify for exemption from the Duty.
