HC Deb 09 December 1943 vol 395 c1162W
Mr. Linstead

asked the Secretary of State for India whether, concurrently with the examination of the pension position of officers of the British Army now being undertaken by the Chancellor of the Exchequer, he will examine the possibility of restoring the 9½ per cent. cut made in 1935 in the pensions of British officers who served in the Indian Army?

Mr. Amery

Any decision by His Majesty's Government regarding the pensionary position of officers of the British Army will be given consideration in regard to the pensions of British officers of the Indian Army.
