HC Deb 05 August 1943 vol 391 cc2481-2W
Mr. Lennox-Boyd

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty the names of the existing charitable organisations to which widows of naval officers who find themselves in reduced circumstances may make application for funds to supplement their pensions?

Mr. Alexander

There are numerous naval and general services charitable organisations to which the widows of naval officers may apply for further income or temporary help. A central bureau for naval officers' charities has been established as a centre of information on the work and scope of these organisations, and puts applicants in touch with the fund most suited to their individual circumstances. The address of the Secretary of the Bureau is c/o King George's Fund for Sailors, 333 Ibex House, Minories, E.C.3.
