HC Deb 03 August 1943 vol 391 cc2106-7W
Mr. Craven-Ellis

asked the Minister of Supply whether he will consider taking steps to schedule machine tools and other industrial equipment which may be surplus to our post-war requirements, in case they may be usefully shipped to the countries of our Allies under Lend-Lease as they are freed from the enemy, with a view to accelerating the revival of the industrial life of their people and avoiding a state of depression in our home industries?

Mr. Peat

Yes, Sir. This position is under continuous review and the considerations mentioned by the hon. Member are not being overlooked.
