HC Deb 14 April 1943 vol 388 c1226W
Sir F. Sanderson

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of War Transport whether, in view of the many road accidents caused by motor vehicles and especially in regard to fatal accidents to young children, he will consider some means of keeping children off the roads by means of broadcasting to mothers?

Mr. Noel-Baker

My hon. Friend will be glad to know that my Department, in collaboration with the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, are doing all that they can to promote the safety of children on the roads. They are receiving valuable assistance from the British Broadcasting Corporation who broadcast frequent talks to parents about what they should do to instruct, control, and help their children.
