HC Deb 14 April 1943 vol 388 c1240W
Wing-Commander Hulbert

asked the Secretary of State for Air under what conditions political meetings may be held on Royal Air Force stations; and whether the existing safeguards are considered satisfactory?

Sir A. Sinclair

R.A.F. personnel are not permitted to take an active part in the affairs of any political organisation or party. It follows that political meetings may not be held at R.A.F. stations. On the other hand discussion of political subjects in the wider sense by discussion groups at R.A.F. stations is, of course, permitted. The answer to the last part of the Question is in the affirmative.
