HC Deb 14 April 1943 vol 388 c1221W
Major Leighton

asked the Secretary of State for War whether officers or men who meet with an accident whilst on duty and after recovery suffer from some continuing disability and are retained in the service, receive any compensation for the injury sustained?

Mr. A. Henderson

No compensation is payable while they continue to serve, but on the termination of their service they are eligible for consideration for awards from the Ministry of Pensions.
