Mr. De la Bèreasked the Minister of Health whether he will confer with the appropriate Departments with a view to ensuring that doctors who have lost members of their staffs through the call up and have recently lost further members of their staffs, should be allowed to have those members recalled from the Forces in cases where exceptional hardship is involved?
§ Mr. E. BrownIn view of the requirements of the Forces, I am afraid that I should not be justified in asking my right hon. Friends to make general arrangements for this purpose beyond those applying to other cases. As my hon. Friend will know, there are already arrangements for considering release in special cases.
