§ Mr. E. BrownThe only available figures of deaths from influenza are those returned by registrars for the 126 great towns. The number returned in 1943 for the 11 weeks ended 20th March was 1,008 and for the corresponding period in 1942, 790. For the week ended 27th March a few cards have not yet been received, but the number of influenza deaths is approximately 75, the number for the corresponding week last year being 42.
