HC Deb 30 September 1942 vol 383 c794W
Mr. J. Dugdale

asked the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he will give an assurance that he does not intend during the war to take any action with regard to the proposal of the Kenya Land Tenure Committee that every lessee of Crown land in Kenya should have the right to obtain a title to the land for ever free from any obligation to pay rent, since such a proposal is controversial?

Mr. Harold Macmillan

The report of this Committee is under consideration.
