Wellsasked the Secretary of State for India when the amount the Government agreed to pay as a portion of the married Service man's qualifying allotment, equal to 6d. a day and dating from 20th March, will be paid to men serving in the Air Force in India; and whether he is aware that complaints have been received that this money has not been forthcoming up to the present time?
§ Mr. AmeryThe concession to which my hon. Friend refers was announced in Air Force Instructions (India) on 23rd May, 1942. There may have been some delay in clearing up the retrospective payments involved. If my hon. Friend will give me details of any cases I shall be glad to have them investigated.
