HC Deb 08 September 1942 vol 383 cc73-4W
Mr. J. Wilmot

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer upon what committees representatives of the Treasury are serving for the purpose of exercising control of foreign exchange transactions?

Sir K. Wood

The Treasury and the Bank of England are at all times in the closest touch in matters arising out of exchange control; regular meetings are held between their representatives, in addition to day-to-day contact as may be required.
