HC Deb 22 October 1942 vol 383 c2154W
Sir I. Albery

asked the Home Secretary whether he is aware that a number of advertisement hoardings, erected on the main road between Mottingham and Swanley Junction, have recently been covered with large advertisement posters; and what are the regulations of the local authorities concerned in connection with the exhibition of such postings?

Mr. H. Morrison

I have made inquiry and have ascertained that the hoardings in question are, with one exception, within the area of the Chislehurst and Sidcup Urban District Council. I am sending my hon. Friend copies of the by-laws made by that authority under the Advertisements Regulations Acts, 1907 and 1925.
