Mr. Bevin

Precise figures of the number of gainfully "occupied" persons can only be obtained from a census of the population but from such information as is available it is estimated that the total number, including those in the Forces, is of the order of 23,500,000. The figure includes an appropriate allowance for persons employed on a part-time basis.

nature of any labour disputes which have entailed the stoppage of work since the beginning of September this year?
