HC Deb 21 October 1942 vol 383 c1999W
Sir R. Gower

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food the tonnage of dog biscuits which have been manufactured in this country for distribution during the last six months; and what proportion this bears to the normal output of such biscuits in peace-time?

Mr. Mabane

I regret that I am unable to give details of the tonnage of dog biscuits manufactured in the United Kingdom during the last six months, but my Department has during that period released to manufacturers in the form of cereal products unfit for human consumption one-third of their pre-war usage of cereals and cereal products.
