HC Deb 15 October 1942 vol 383 c1788W
Mr. Wilson

asked the Home Secretary why the grant of a free pardon for a Sheffield fireman, which he intimated on 12th May, was being recommended has not yet been communicated to the man concerned?

Mr. H. Morrison

Notifications were sent to the court, the police, the chief regional fire officer, to my hon. Friend and to other hon. Members who had approached me on behalf of this man. As the fireman himself had made no representations to me, I find that no communication was sent direct to him, but if he would wish to have a copy of the free pardon I shall be glad to have one sent to him.
