asked the Home Secretary whether he can give any information in connection with the police raid on Saturday, 3rd October, at an unregistered club in Archer Street, London; how many persons were in the club; what were their ages; and how many were men in the fighting Forces?

Seven men were found on the premises and were arrested and charged under the Gaming Act, 1845. Two who were principals were ordered to pay fines and costs totalling £126, and a recognizance of £25 previously entered into by one of them was estreated. The other five were bound over. Of the persons concerned one was 48 years of age, one was 43, and the remainder under 40. None of them is a member of the fighting Forces.
