HC Deb 14 October 1942 vol 383 c1642W
Mr. Tinker

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Works and Planning whether he is aware of the damage caused to masonry by the breaking off of iron railings which the Ministry have commandeered and the anxiety of the owners as to repairs; and will he make it known what the Government intend to do, either by way of recompense or repairs?

Mr. Hicks

I am aware that certain damage due to the removal of railings remains unrepaired, but the work will be put in hand by my Department as soon as possible.
