HC Deb 14 October 1942 vol 383 c1637W
Lieut-Colonel Macnamara

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he will expedite the payments due to the mother of the late Stoker Gerald Wilson, SKX.271, especially the arrears due from 3rd October, 1941, to 2nd April, 1942?

Mr. Alexander

As the ship in which Stoker Gerald Wilson was serving was lost, the pay accounts had to be reconstructed and this work is not yet complete. The balance due to his estate, including the arrears referred to, has however now been determined, and the Admiralty are in communication with Mrs. Wilson with a view to establishing title to the money. As soon as this has been done payment will be made.
