asked the Secretary of State for War whether he can give any information about the bursting of a shell which killed two men while they were taking part in a field exercise on Friday, 2nd October; how the shell came to be thrown among the men; what was the verdict of the coroner at the inquest held at Lewes on Saturday, 3rd October; whether the wives of the men killed will be compensated and upon what basis?
