HC Deb 06 October 1942 vol 383 cc1085-6W
Colonel Burton

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether any British capital is involved in the hydro-electric installations in Northern Italy; and, if so, what are the holdings of the British interests?

Mr. Dalton

I have no reason to suppose that much British capital is invested in these installations. Returns made to the Board of Trade for inclusion in the register of British property in enemy territory only amount to slightly over £50,000.
