§ Mr. LawAccording to the latest information received from His Majesty's Minister at Addis Ababa, nineteen British subjects have already been appointed to senior posts by the Ethiopian Government as advisers, commissioner of police, or judges. A small number of other senior appointments are about to 1095W be made. In addition, a number of British subjects have been appointed to subsidiary posts in the police and medical services. The salaries attached to these appointments and all other expenditure in connection with them are being met from Ethiopian Government funds which, as the hon. and gallant Member will be aware, are subsidised by grants from His Majesty's Government as specified in Article IV of the recent Anglo-Ethiopian Agreement.
