HC Deb 01 October 1942 vol 383 c940W
Major Thorneycroft

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether he will reconsider the decision to prohibit the manufacture of ice-cream by 40,000 small traders; and whether it is the policy of his Department to close down small traders upon the ground that the large-scale manufacturer has had to be eliminated in the national interest?.

Mr. Mabane

The answer to both parts of the Question is, "No, Sir."
