HC Deb 18 November 1942 vol 385 c362W
Mr. Kirby

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food what steps are being taken to remove causes of complaint among retailers in Liverpool as to the unfair distribution of such supplies of oranges as are available?

Mr. Mabane

I am not aware that there is any complaint among retailers as to the distribution of oranges in Liverpool. On the contrary, I am glad to be able to say that a meeting representative of Liverpool retailers expressed as recently as 21st October great satisfaction with the work of the Orange Distribution Committee. If my hon. Friend will let me have particulars of any specific complaint which has come to his notice, I shall be glad to investigate it.
