HC Deb 10 November 1942 vol 383 c2307W
Mr. David Adams

asked the Minister of Fuel and Power whether he is aware that the Forster Committee, on the Recruitment of Juveniles in the Coalmining Industry, reports against the introduction of apprenticeship for juvenile entrants who will seek their livelihood as working miners; and whether, as without this provision, the lack of security, a principal cause against recruitment, will continue, he intends to re-examine this problem with a view to bringing coalmining into line with the other principal industries in this connection?

Major Lloyd George

This matter is under review in the consideration that is now being given to the report of the Forster Committee by the industry and my Department.
