HC Deb 19 May 1942 vol 380 c44W
Mr. Sorensen

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Works and Buildings whether he is aware that Kew Gardens now close at 7 p.m.; and whether, in view of the need of inducing those who may enjoy shortened holidays not to travel far, he will arrange for a later hour of closing both at Kew Gardens and any similar place?

Mr. T. Williams

I have been asked to reply. Arrangements have already been made that, starting from Sunday, 17th May, Kew Gardens will be open until 8 p.m. during the summer months. My right hon. Friend is not responsible for any gardens, other than those at Kew.
