HC Deb 25 March 1942 vol 378 c2015W
Lieut.-Colonel Acland-Troyte

asked the Secretary of State for War why chief recruiting officers were not granted an increase in pay similar to that granted to recruiting officers?

Mr. Sandys

The pay of recruiting officers was increased in consequence of a decision that retired officers, re-employed on a fixed salary, under the terms of the Pay Warrant of 1940, should get a minimum rate of £350 a year. Officers drawing salaries in excess of that figure were not affected by this change.
