§ Mr. A. Edwardsasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will consider abolishing the use of National Health Insurance and Unemployment stamps in order to economise in labour and paper?
§ Sir K. WoodThe purpose of the insurance stamp, like that of the postage stamp, is to provide the necessary proof that the payment due has actually been made. I am advised that there is no more economical method by which this could be done.
